What Types Of Treatment Are Available

The addiction treatment field is quite large and many, many different varieties of treatment are available to you. We have examples of each of these types within our network.

Detox

Detoxification is often necessary before actual drug treatment can occur. Many drugs including alcohol and opiates (heroin, Prescription pain killers) create strong physical dependencies which need to be addressed medically. We can help you find a drug detox center just visit http://www.findadetoxcenter.com or call us now.

Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient addiction treatment refers to a longer term of care usually 2-8 weeks. Inpatient and residential are often used interchangeably, however officially inpatient treatment means that there is a doctor present to treat the addiction medically. The programs usually take insurance and many offer sliding pay scales as well.

Residential Treatment

Residential treatment programs are what most types of addiction recovery programs fall under. They offer an away from home and friends setting in a comfortable "home-like" atmosphere. usually these programs include twelve-step teachings, 12 step meetings and also addiction counseling by certified addiction counselors. These programs generally last 2-8 weeks and most will take your insurance.

Dual Diagnosis

Dual diagnosis treatment refers to a drug or alcohol addiction which is co-occuring with a mental health issue such as depression, personality disorder, schizophrenia or any other mental health disorder. Dual Diagnosis facilities specifically treat the mental health and the substance abuse issue concurrently. This creates a much higher success rate for graduates. When only the mental health, or only the substance abuse issue is treated a person often will fall right back into their old ways and begin using again.

Outpatient Treatment

Usually we recommend outpatient treatment as part of an after care program. Outpatient treatment refers to ongoing continuing care in an environment where the client returns to their home or a sober living environment when not attending treatment sessions. This has many benefits including allowing one to maintain a job and family life while still receiving the treatment he or she needs.
